The very first class in USM ---> Integrated Studio I
I was wondering what is it about
After all, I got a shock because all I heard is about drawing, drawing and drawing
I was wondering, why a QS student need to do this kind of things

Project 1a
We are required to draw a self-potrait and describe about personal background, what you think/want to be in 5 years later and as a quantity surveyor, what can you contribute for a better built environment

Project 1b
Then we need to design a personal logo with maximum 3 colours
As you can see, letter 'Y' represented my name, Yen
and also to show that I'm a curious girl who always ask 'why'
Blue ---> Relaxing
Red ---> Passion
Yellow ->Hope
Blue colour at the top part of letter 'Y' looks like sea and also my journey of life
Everyday, we need to make a lot of choices in our life
And I always feel like a boat on a wide ocean with no direction
Blue line traced on the top part of letter 'Y' represents my friends, family and teachers as my guidance in my life
Cloud is one of the challenges for pilot
As a 'pilot' of my life, obstacles and challenges are inevitable
Once I get through all the challenges, I will see HOPE which represented by Yellow colour
and there I get more PASSION like how Red colour reflected on me
The bottom part of letter 'Y' just like a Sunrise which means a new day as well as new hope
Besides that, it inspires me to represent it as a Smiley to remind myself not to be a crying baby anymore
Extended sunrays means endless hope and passion
